Car Center Tyler TX

Carl Owens Auto Collision Center (formerly located on East Erwin) has been in its current location on Hwy 64 E since 2006.  Your personal vehicles require a different type of skill and expertise.  In order to better serve our customers, it became necessary to build a seperate shop to accommodate this rapidly growing area of the business.

The Auto Collision Center has two body shops with approximately 30,000 square feet of work space.  We have two Car-O-Liner frame machines that use the world's most advanced measuring systerm, Car-O-Tronic Vision.  With this system, we are able to straighten your vehicle's frame according to the manufacturer's specifications.  We use a CR500 Spot Welder that enables us to create manufacturer quality welds as we repair your vehicle.  Our refinish shop has three Garmet down-draft headed paint booths, a paint mixing room with our own Sherwin Williams Waterborne paint mixing station.  This gives our trained professionals the ability to mix as little as an ounce of paint matched to any possible color, calculated exactly by a high-powered computer and camera system.

Randy Lambright, body shop manager, has been in the auto industry since 1991.  Until joining our team in 2012, he has worked in automotive fields such as mechanical, parts, service, and body repair.  He has an I-CAR Planinum Certificate and many other automotive certifications.  He served on the I-CAR committee in the Smith County area.

Our estimators, Brandon Moreland and Barbara Moorehead, have each been in the auto collision industry for 10+ years.  Both hold I-CAR Platinum certifications.  Brandon and Barbara will work with you and your insurance company to make sure your vehicle is repaired to pre-collision condition and returned to you as quickly as possible.

Production Manager, Robert LeClercq, and Parts Manager, Ron Saizon, make sure the parts are ordered and avaliable when your vehicle is scheduled to arrive.  The scheduling process allows our team of expert technicians to concentrate on repairing your vehicle in the most efficient manner.  Our team has over 100 years combined experience in the auto collision industry and holds I-CAR Platinum certifications.

If insurance will be utilized, call your insurance company first. They will explain the process you need to follow. Insurance companies may schedule an appointment for their adjuster or direct you to the repair shop for an estimate.
