Carl Owens, Sr. first began doing paint and body work in his back yard in 1965. The business has now grown vastly into a facility that spans over several acres of land with two large body shops and a paint shop that houses six paint booths.

Carl Owens, Jr. Owner was born and raised here in Tyler, Texas. He has been a part of the family business since junior high and has attended Dupont Paint Training as well as Front End and Frame school. Carl Jr took over for his father in 1982 and strives to continue to serve his community well.

Our body shops have a Bee Line laser alignment machine and a Truck Grabber frame machine. The Bee Line is able to do 3 axle alignments on tractors and trailers. Our Truck Grabber frame machine is able to push or pull 50 tons and is one of the largest and best frame machines in the state.

Ron Armstrong, General Manager, joined our team as an estimator in 2007. Ron has 40+ years of experience with heavy truck, trailer, equipment and light vehicle repairs including body, frame, and painting. Ron is ASE Gold Certified in body shop management and estimating, and is also ASE certified in structural repair.

Scott McGhee, Estimator has 15+ years of experience in automotive estimating and the body shop industry, He also has extensive experience in dealing with insurance companies to get his customers back on the road as quickly as possible.​​

Camaron Garner, Estimator has been working for Carl Owens for several years. He has over 20+ years in the RV industry dealing with anything from parts to estimating. He also has 9+ years of experience in dealing with insurance claims on all types of vehicles.​​

In our paint/refinish area we have six paint booths and our own Sherwin Williams paint mixing station, which allows us the ability to mix an ounce of paint matched to any possible color calculated exactly by a high-powered computer and camera system.
​
Our paint department has done a number of customized jobs for everything from drag racing team trailers, NASCAR trailers, to customized RV's and buses. In addition, we sandblast and paint oilfield & heavy equipment as well as trailers.
Dave Carter, Warehouse Supply Manager has been with Carl Owens for 45+ years. He is highly experienced in the supplies we need at our facility and is in charge of mixing our paints for us.

Jud Bush, Paint Shop Manager has 40+ years of experience in automotive refinishing and body work. He is I-CAR Platinum Certified, PPG-BASF, and AZKO-NOBEL Platinum Certified in refinishing.​
​
Michael Davis, Parts Manager has been with the company 11+ years now. He is in charge of running our parts department, is part of our Quality Control team, and also picks up and delivers vehicles that we have serviced.
Ronnie Chamberlain, Quality Control has been with the company 10+ years. He is in charge of the delivery/pick-up of vehicles we service, assists in our parts department, and is our Quality Control go-to-guy.
